  1. Yes please measure for me thanks for the insight. If it is shorter by an inch or two, it'll be work. Thanks. Billet my look better with the new steering wheel anyhow.
  2. Thanks Maxum, I had thought about the bend as well but I thought it may be cleaner look if I could find a shorter turn signal.
  3. Great minds think alike...I did the same thing for x-mas. Told my wife that was all I wanted. Back to the issue: When mounted, the steering wheel is closer to the dash and therefore closer to the turn signal. When I make a turn my fingers get caught on the turn signal. I am having to turn with my palms. I was going to shorten the turn signal switch but wanted some input first.
  4. http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-13525187779972_2088_4311611 Anyone have this steering wheel??? If so, my next question is, what did you do about your turn signal switch? Shortened??? Are there shorter turn signal switches.
  5. I just recently mounted 18x9.5 with 295's on the rear. Had to hammer part of the inner fender alittle not much though. I am working on lower the car, fronts are 18x8 with 245's.
  6. T&L built my 408 stroker. Man all I can say is YOU WON'T BE DISSAPPOINTED. Good guys, not show offs. They know what they are doing. The shop is right around the corner from me.
  7. Thanks, do you have before and after pics of the car. I agree with you, I think the reverse eye is best.
  8. thanks guys. With the amount of torque, it's probably best to go with the mid eye leaf.
  9. Thanks to streetking I was able to get 295/35/18s on the rear. Now, anyone have some ideas on lowering car. I have the 5 leaf shelby springs with standard eye and 1 and a half lowering block. I still need to go another 2-3 inches. Thank guys.
  10. http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=2248 very informative and nice to look at too
  11. I think someone had 18x10's on a 69 fastback, a rice nice car. The backspacing he had was 6.25 which is what you measured. He had 295/35/18's. Let me see if I can find that thread.
  12. Thanks to everyone that took their time to respond. I have all the information now to redo the cylinders. I have still one problem. Everything that I have read says to have the top up, but my top is stuck down. I'm assuming if I unbolt the old cylinders from the top I can then pull the top back up, install new cylnders and start filling the motor. Thanks again.
  13. after doing some research, for anyone who runs into this problem I hope this will help them as well. http://www.hydroe.com/Tips_-_Cylinders__amp__Pumps.html
  14. FRH, thanks for information. That's exactly what I needed. I hope someone can fill in the remainder of the problem. I know I'll have to fill the hydraulic fluid up. Can someone tell me WHERE and with WHAT TYPE of fluid?? I'm assuming I fill, push button until I don't see bubbles in the lines and then reconnect the hose. Thanks a bunch. Stephen
  15. Ok thanks for reading this thread. Here's the situation. The otherday I took out the car for a drive, and put the top down. I heard some girgling sound from the passenger side, I assumed it was the hydrolics from the top. After the drive I tried to put the top up and sure enough the top would not go up. The motor is still working but the top just will not do anything. Questions: With the top down, how can I raise it so I can get a better look at the hydrolic lines(I'm assuming the motor is good and there is a leak in the line)??? After taking the rear sit out, I noticed some fluid by the down by the passenger side floor. If the line is leaking, after replacing it, do I need a new pump because the fluid has ran out????How do you replace the fluid?? Just replace with a new pump???? Sorry if this is hard to understand? Thanks. Stephen
  16. Anyone near charlotte, I would love to see a R&P in person and feel the difference. I hate my stock PS...it sucks. All the suspension upgrades and I can't even enjoy it. I can feel the tightness of the new suspension components but the PS scares the crap out of me to even push it too hard. Thanks...
  17. Thanks for the info, you just make my life a little easier....now how about the economy...thanks agian
  18. can you tell me what 80's pick up that was and what if any modifications??? Thanks so much.
  19. my steering pump keeps going out. I have replaced three pumps since completing the build. 408 stroker. The counter guys told me that the pump is okay in an umodified car but that the stock pumps do not last long in modified cars. Anyone have knowledge of this??? The entire steering components are new or rebuilt. Thanks any info will be appreciated.
  20. Thanks Pak...Buy you a beer when I see you.
  21. Thanks, I know these dam wheels are expensive. I was not planning on getting wheels but I made a mistake and put wheelwoods 12'' dics and now I have to buy wheels. I don't want to put just anything on the car and then have to buy new ones later. I figured I would bite the bullet and pay for what I want. Notice these have a deep dish look to them and does not have the step-up before the center. Discount Tire told me the sizes, AR 427's. 18/9 front and 18/10 rear will fit. Any recommendations to save me money is welcome. Thanks Pack....
  22. Hey pak will you please put these wheels on your convet for me. Thanks. Instead of blue can you make the car red. This is what I am ordering for my convert. thanks https://www.newstalgiawheel.com/images/inventory/new/FW_1007_500.gif
  23. Thanks for the info. I will give John a call.
