  1. I want to do Fiero Seats (using Mr. Mikes), I was wondering if anyone has used cooled seats if so, how did they work and do you think it is possible to do to fiero seats.
  2. That's awesome, I am extremely excited to get mine out to Englishtown's open track. I am new to all of it but am sure it will be a ton of fun. Tell me a little about your build, it looks amazing.
  3. Yea it is coming out awesome in my opinion. Sorry this is the first time I checked back or I wouldda posted it from somewhere else. The guess of the picture in the top corner was right where our sleeves are rolled up and the hood is popped is awesome =). I really hope he likes it.

  5. I was always very close to my dad and recently he moved out to portugal (we spent a lot of time working on the mustang and it really made us close) So since he was leaving I had my friend make me a painting (she is working on it now) This is what she has so far. I think it is AMAZING. The color is perfect. Tell me if you guys can see this, I figured it was a nice story people would like. She is doing a couple of my other friends cars when shes done with this one for $ now, so I started her off on like a business.

  7. They are "super comp" headers not sure what the difference is or if there is one. Was a Pain to get them in though.
  8. The motor and trans are all in, need to adjust the clutch, put on the exhaust and some fluid in the trans and I am done with my first motor swap!
  9. I wanted to do the I6 mainly for the originality of it. But my I6 developed a rod knock, so I was figuring out if i wanted to change it out for a 250 or keep the 200. When doing this I decided to check prices on V8's etc. It turns out to be cheaper to do the V8. I6- New one or rebuild - 300 Aluminum Heads - 1600 Aluminum Intake - 300 Turbo - 1200 Exaust - 400 (plus a bunch of custom fabricating) Total 3800 All the rest of the drivetrain, brakes, suspension etc would need to be upgraded like if i went to a V8. I got the V8 parts car for 1200 (has the 8" rear, all motor mounts, and the motor itself which was running well, and has a mild cam in it) Aluminum Heads - 1600 Intake - 350 Carb - 200 Exhaust - 350 Total 3700 (not counting any money I make by selling off old parts on the parts car or anything) It ends up being very close in price with the V8 swap actually being cheaper. Than I started thinking a mildly built up 302 has more power than most of the people on fordsix are getting, and its not turbo'd so those hassles aren't there. So due to all of this I decided the V8 was the better way to go. I would have loved to do the "Boss 200" I wanted to do, but everything just seemed to work against that idea.
  10. The numbers The block hanging picked up real quick after i pulled the intake I see an 20, but its definitely backwards if it was suppose to say 302 Motor in the parts car.
  11. Ok, so more info, though I can't find a true answer. I am assuming it has a 302 (intake had the 302 firing order on it, and the spark plugs are in 302 order), so i am assuming it has to be a 302 since it ran, and i dont think they would make a intake for a 351 that had a 302 firing order on it. The number behind the starter is cleaned up and easier to read, i will post pictures as soon as i get home. 9G15 is DEFINITELY correct. C90E - 6015C The E looks like an upside down F as if the top end of the E was chopped off. Took the intake off, and there isn't a 302 or a 351, unless they printed them backwards There seems like a 20(and than a hole), but it would be definitely backwards.(again I will post pics soon). Figured it wasnt worth checking the heads since they won't really prove anything I will try to measure it and see what numbers I get.
  12. Don't know if you can tell from that but its the only pic i got.
  13. Ok so I pulled a 302 out of a 1970 Mustang. Me being an idiot assumed it was a 302 from a 1970 (or atleast one that interchanges parts wise. So I talk to Modern Driveline and they tell me I will need a 157 tooth flywheel (10") and clutch, figuring they know their stuff (which I still assume they do), I order it. Tear the old motor out, and find out it has a bigger flywheel(guessing 10.5", and 164 tooth). So realized I messed up (after second day shipping it), I try to figure out what motor it is. Looked up online, got told to check right above the starter. I found these Numbers 9615 090E 60150C (I believe the numbers weren't easy to read but thats the best I could make them out) PLEASE help me!
  14. What does everyone recommend for clutch/pressure plate/flywheel for mating it up to a T5? Do you think Aluminum flywheels are worth it?
  15. Does anyone know what size brakes would have been on a 70 mustang? There is a 10" and 11" kit Thanks in advance.
  16. Well the thing is, i like the idea of the "dual mode" that this car would have going on. Spread bore Carb- tiny primaries for good gas mileage and low end torque, with huge secondaries for when i want to stomp on it. Dual Port Intake- basically 2 manifolds in 1, suppose to be great for low end torque and mileage, yet good for when you stomp on it too Dual Mode Muffler- Quiet and good for back pressure (don't know how much difference it really makes, but when floored gets crazy loud and better straight through flow. I love the idea of good gas mileage, throttle response etc but when i want to be an idiot, i can still have a lot of fun. I know I will lose some power that way on both ends compared to if i built it normally, but I prefer an all around car. My mustang is my daily driver and I want to keep it that way. With gas prices climbing how they are, its important for me to do what i can. After I am done with the engine and all, I plan on shedding extra weight from the car. I would love to do a Carbon Kevlar hood or something, though I haven't found any made for 69's and they'd probably be too expensive none the less.
  17. No not yet, but I figure the offy is the best way to go.
  18. bnickel I found a ton of 650 cfm spreadbores made by Holley, none of them were the 4011 tho. Is the 4011 a pre-emissions carb? Is it rare?
  19. Yea I plan on getting an aluminum radiator, was just wondering if there was any kind of negative aspect of getting an intake with no rear crossover. The 300 at the wheels is kinda my dream, I am pretty sure I am not going to make that. I am thinking in the end I will get ~350 fwhp, and just be good all around engine. (Not a torque or hp monster, but pretty good on gas) I figure that our cars are decently light, they don't need THAT much.
  20. Okay I never heard of that before. Does it hurt cooling and just mean I should definitely get an aluminum radiator? I am new to a lot of this, and really want to make sure everything is set up well to work with eachother before throwing a ton of money at it and just screwing myself. Thank you so much again for all the help, I'm in completely new territory haha.
  21. has anyone used a intake without the rear crossover provision? Did you run into any problems?
  22. "Does not have rear water crossover provision"
  23. http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/CamDetails.aspx?csid=800&sb=2 What does everyone think of that cam? Remember Daily Driver Gas mileage in mind. (with dual plane intake, afr heads, hooker super comp headers, 600 cfm carb)
