sad to see but Chinese parts are still far from good enough to use most of the time -
does sound like muck in the carb to me. get the top off the float chamber and clean it out, brake cleaner is best

I've got a 460 in my 70 fastback. fits between the standard towers but will never be able to change the spark plugs unless the engine is raised:asshole:
