  4. Will a flywheel and clutch for a 351W fit to a 351C I have a 4 speed toploader 28 spline wide ratio and have a 351W right now but am building a 351C in the summer. i dont want to have to put $350 again for a different flywheel and clutch at the end of summer.
  5. If you dont mind how much does the bearing conversion cost and where can you buy it? Also how much does the cable or hydralic conversion cost and where to get it? I am on a tight budget. Thanks
  6. So i have a c-4 behind my 351 450hpW but it is on its way out. I have a close ratio 4 spd toploader sitting in my garage that need refreshening. I also have a 69 pedal assembly that was on a 3 speed but it should work right? How hard is it to make the converison to a 4 speed toploader. I want to keep my center console is it possible and what else do i need? The trans mount? Crossmember? or Should i just get a c-4 built from my local transmission shop he build proformance trans
  7. Question One. Its about a c-4 MY car lost alot of power all of a sudden and i think it has to do with the tranny. Cant even spin the tires with 430 Hp when it did yesterday. I think the problem is with the linkage on the tranny. How do set the manual linkage with the metal rod. I put the shifter in low and then loosened the nut and slid it all the way foward in the slide and tightened it up is that correct? or no? Also when i put the car in low it seems like it does not want to move. It is a c-4 and it has a manual and automatic shift.
  8. Hello On ebay i bought the eleanor wheels at 17x8 on the front and 17x9 on the back. the back tire is a 275/40/17 and front is a 235/40/17. Front backspaing was 4.5 back was 5.0
  9. its smoking alot. you cant even drive it it smokes so bad from running on the exhaust
  10. I have a summit radiator and the quality is good. I made up some of my own brackets and they cool really well to it seems. I almost never go over 170 while cruising and sitting still never over 190. The fan I am using is a be-kool 2500 cfm that kicks on at 180 degrees and cools it down nice a quick and the motor is a 351w with about 425 hp
  11. I am gonig to check the vent that a good idea and it seems more near the rear. Almost like at the trans mount. from the middle of the pan forward is dry. I did change the rear seal already but that wasnt it.
  12. I am having bad luck with the tranny. It is a rebuilt C-4 with a 351W with a 2800 stall converter. My problem is I cant find where it is leaking because it only leaks under power. It throws it all over the exhaust and smokes. The vaccum modulator was loose but I tightened it. The problem still persists. It doesnt look like it is leaking off of any lines and the pan might have a small leak. I think it may be leaking where the case bolts to the tail shaft. Or could it be spraying out the pan? maybe it is overfilled? any suggestions would help. Thanks a lot
  13. Im down to two reds both 2008 ford colors. I want either vermillion red or torch red. Still unsure have to make the decseion by 730 tomorow morning

  15. I am thinking of getting a tattoo on my upper arm the only problem is I dont know what i should get. I had three things in mind let me know what you think. 1. The mustang grill emblem from our 69's The horse with the stripes through it. 2. A piston with an angry face and where it connects to the crank would be two slicks with smoke coming off them (you probally seen them around) 3. finally the ford oval with a piston and a wrench crossing over each other like going under the oval. Let me know what you guys think. And its only going to be small so a t-shirt will cover it
  16. well pypes says you can do it your self well i had to go to a local exhasut shop to get it done. First the headers came out to a diffferent spot the the pypes so he had to make a two piece pipe that almost liek a 45 degree bend to make it work. Then the x pipe had to be rebent at the back becasue it was to narrow. Then the tail pypes had to be bent to fit right but it does sound good a little different sound really good when you give it a good rev and different from flowmasters and magnaflows. So really i guess the only part i coudl not do was the headers to the pipe.
  17. Had the same type of problem. I have a 351 with the rpm intake and a 1 inch spacer. I had a 14 round cleaner though with 3 inch element. and I had to cut a hole in the hood that just barely fit under the mach 1 scoop but the top of the cleaner was barely sticking through so I need to go 1/2 inch higher to make it look right.
  18. Does anyone know how and where the flat on the hood starts? And where the pin stripe is? I am abotu to paint my car and want to know how much of the hood is flat black Thanks
  19. Well i went to install it and ran into a problem my headers coem out on an angle not parell and it casue a problem once I get to boorow a lift i should be able to get it to work and see how the rest goes will get pics
  20. So i just got a brand new aluminized kit from the company PYPES. Its 2.5 inch with street pro mufflers and has a x-pipe. Does anyone know of a sound clip or have this system. I hope it sounds good with my street/strip 351W. I got a great deal the whole kit 275 with all hardware. Thanks in advance for any advice/answers
  21. I have a 1969 mustang mach 1 and I am undecided if i should go with the hairpin stlye hood pins like on the 69 mach 1's or go with the 70 mach 1 locking twist ones. What do you guys think? I like the look of the twist ones but also dont want to make it look wrong becasue the 69 mach 1. Ideas?
  22. A unique set up that i was kicking around for away was spectre. If you go to spectreperformance.com there are some ideas there of what you can do. It is kinda a retro thing and not sure if i would like the look but you should check it out for something different.
  23. Hey coz. Do you have any close ups of your 275/60/15. To see if you had to roll the lip or anything? And how close it is.
  24. Hello I want to put a 255/60/15 tire on the back of my 69 mach 1. Will this fit on a 15x8 with 4.5 backspacing? or i could go with a 15x7 with 4 inch backspacing? I have everything i want picked out just wanted to make sure it fit. (right now i have stock 69 rims with 245/60/15 with no problems)
