  1. hey you are on the torino cobra forum too? yea its confusing on these bars.
  2. i have been looking for a curved one for my 70 mach. some catalogs list them 65-70, some 67-70, some 65-66 and 69-70 only. what years actually fits? are they all interchangeable? i am looking for a satin finish curved one.
  3. looks great! stock speedo with white face overlay, and phantom auto meter gauges? how much fabrication was there?
  4. I would be interested in either style
  5. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251221105600?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:VRI&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2661 this looks interesting
  6. is this the kit you used? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-bk1326-x/media/images
  7. cool! thanks for the pictures. how do you lengthen the park brake cable? is there a kit for that?
  8. i am looking at those rear disc conversion kits for a 9 inch in my 70 mach. anyone use any of them? thoughts? Ebay has them for like $400
  9. yes i like this ebay one too, looks like a lower profile.
  10. i am in the market for a very nice fitting, indoor only car cover. for my 70 mach. anyone have any recommendations? maybe $200 budget?
  11. what do you guys think of this one? it seems more inexpensive than other hood tachs i've seen. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-DODGE-CHARGER-HOOD-TACH-DIXCO-STYLE-8000-RPM-/350612690899?fits=Year:1970|Model:Mustang&hash=item51a22517d3&item=350612690899&pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr
  12. if you are shifting into 2nd at 5mph, you must have a pretty steep rear end gear. i would think second gear is about 20 mph and 3rd about 35-40
  13. i drove tow trucks too. the reason you saw 4x4 or 8x8 pieces of wood flopping around the boom in those days was to keep the sling from crushing the valance. for front and rear. now damn near everything has to be flat-bedded
  14. i have looked at them.. do you have one or have any experience with them?
  15. same here, i'd consider a hood tach too. anyone have one they have good/bad opinions on? I just hate staring at that RH pod and wishing there was a tach there instead of some dumb gauges.
  16. thanks for the info on the rear valance panel. i see you have a link to a blog / build thread. your car is just about what i'd like to make mine. I'd love to read what youve done, but that link requires a password. thanks -pete

  19. well a few years ago before i bought a mustang , i remember seeing them at a swap meet for 3-4 hundred. but the years fly by as we get older. if they are approching 7 bills now, i am definately going the aftermarket route with a dakota or auto meter cluster, and get some modern gauges.
  20. the 70 mach i just bought doesnt have cutouts on the rear panel for exhaust. maybe its been changed, its an H code. would it have originally have had the cutouts or was it optional?
  21. great thats a big help. tach clusters seem to be 3-400 it seems. i was thinkin of the dakota digital setup, but thats nearly a grand. so the oem route seems more reasonable. -pete
  22. Hi does anyone know what it takes to install a factory tach cluster into a 70 mustang? buy a used cluster and get a wiring harness? thanks -pete
  23. Hi, I am a new member with a 70 mach, you have a great looking car. do you have a build thread or can you give me some details on how you got that stance? thanks -pete
