I replaced all my Mach1 interior lights from Mustang Project. My gauge lights are green LED's without the diffusers.  They look the correct color and are dim able.  I have had them for many years.

This is a full kit that just drops in w/o the diffusers.  Your diffusers may be melted like many are.   The diffusers are easy to take out and it causes no other problems.

  2. I bought a lojack unit quite a few years ago. It was a one time purchase w/o and further fees. One installed it doesn't need anything further.  You need to have lojack coverage in your area.  One stolen, you call the police and they activate a signal to track your device.

  3. I sold my FMX with all related parts except the driveshaft back about 5 years ago for I think $600.  It had a performance rebuild on it a few years earlier and was in good working condition. Since yours is a new rebuild I think you would get a better price.  I bought a big plastics container for shipment from lowes. It worked great and was was just the right size.

  4. As midlife said it can get expensive.  I bought a set of 1970 tachometer deluxe gauges (minus the speedo since I had one) on Ebay for ~$500 a few years ago.  I bought the tach printed circuit from NPD.  I had Redline Gauge Works convert the the tach to modern internals (I believe VDO) to run directly from my FAST Hi 6 CD ignition box.  It looks factory stock and works great.

  5. Ha Ha, unfortunately some of the causes are from humans.  My wife said one was caused from a campfire.  another was from an RV setting the grass on fire.   Air quality is very unhealthy today.  My 3m mask with two filters works great outside.

  6. Wow I live in Beaverton Oregon and the amount of smoke outside is unbelievable.  My wife's family and friends had to evacuate from the Stayton, Mill City, and Sublimity areas.  We now have a full house with my son and his wife and twin 4 year olds, and my daughter inlaw's sisters family from Oregon city.  If the fire gets to us (which I don't think it will) I told my wife that I am taking the Mach 1 with me.  I cannot believe what has happened down in Detroit. I bet its mostly gone.  As on 10:30 am something like 930K acres have burned.  Governor Kate said to expect substantial loss of life. :(   Here is a good website to see the situation.  You can zoom in to see the detail.  http://oregonsmoke.blogspot.com/

  7. Regarding the bright trim pieces on the top of the Mach 1 molding.  They are aluminum.  I had mine restored to perfect condition by King Of Trim in CA USA.  They take out all road rash and dents, polish to mirror finish.  They have the correct anodizing chemistry also.  If I remember correctly they are pop riveted to the al cladding.  NPD has the correct paint color. Fasteners for the door pieces can be found here https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Moulding-Fasteners-10-24-X-3-4-Bolt-5-16-Width-p/a12962.htm  (I am not sure if this is the correct size but this is where I bought replacements.  For the cladding of the forward quarter panel bottom, the molded in posts for panel retention were broken off. Instead of drilling and using screws I fastened studs on the back to replace the posts using a very strong adhesive call Belzona.  They are still on after many years.  I don't recommend aftermarket bright trim since it is far from the OEM design.  Good luck!  Alan

I saw this PCV in VMF, but no one updated the thread if it actually works, can you describe what what it made it better, smoother idle/take off?

My  opinion is the benefits in the website are correct. My engine used to blow breather cap up off the seated position on the mounting tube. I tried two breather caps and had the same problem.  Now the breather cap doesn't move from the seated position.  I used to have some minor oil leaks and they are gone.  My engine idles and seems to run cleaner.  I think it really works.  Feel free to call the owner.  I had some questions when setting it up over the weekend, The owner picked up on the phone and gladly walked me thru the setup.
