  1. Dave that's a Sterling Gray Metallic.
  2. What a GREAT DAY! Anthony, a fellow forum/stang mamberr/owner that goes by the handle 1969COUPE came by to lend a hand. Aside or a little tweaking here and there all went well.
  3. A nice and sunny Happy Sunday to you all from North Carolina. The 69 Coupe is ready for the front bumper, lower valance and grill today. Is there a particular order that they should go on so I don't waste my day putting on and taking off parts. Thanks :001_cool:
  4. Thanks for the replies. I went with a Lokar Universal Kit that really complimented my set up. It was real easy to install. Now I can sit in my car, start it and hit the gas pedal to rev her up. She's getting closer to hitting the streets for cruzin.
  5. The only thing I have is the original gas pedal assembly that is in mint condition. Need Throttle Cable. Spring(s)? Brackets?
  6. Tried to do this on my own and have figured that I need a new Throttle/Accelerator cable. What else do I need to hook up my original gas pedal to the carb. I have a 4 Barrel Holly 600CFM Carb sitting on top of a Edlebrock Manifold on 302 in my 69 Coupe. I have a bag of parts that came with the carb. I know I need more and just can't quite figure out what I need. Thanks.
  7. I ended up removing the standard 4" starter, ground down the bell housing until I had about .200" clearance and installed a mini Hi-Torque starter designed to take care of these clearance issues. I did not have to beat down on my new headers. I also went with the locking header bolts from Summit. :thumbup1:
  8. Ceramic coated Peritronix Tri-Y headers from CJ Pony Model EXHD10 Solved my interference fit by grinding the bell housing down and now have a 3/16 clearance and I ordered a new hi-torque mini starter. No more interference fitment issues.
  9. $65 My resto mod requires me to use a hi torque mini-starter. This starter is 2 years old. It was on my 302 and has been started approximately 50 times while showing off the engine. Has never been on the road. NPD#110025B. Somebody help a brother out. Thanks Bill
  10. I bought new ceramic coated TRI-Y Headers for my 302. I know that most EM's need to be slightly modified to fit. As you can see from the pictures I have clearance issues. The headers are mocked up for now. What is the best way to get these to clear the bell housing and maybe the starter? I really don't want to beat the ceramic coating to make them clear but if that is the best way, what advice can you give? Can I grind away at the bell housing? Thanks for the help.
  11. My engine is nothing hi-po. Its a 302 that was bored 60 over. I have hydraulic litters and a upgraded cam. I purchaced new Tri-Y ceramic coated headers from CJ. During a conversation about this buy with a friend he mentioned these header locking bolts to consider. Anybody have any experience good or bad. Is it worth the extra $60. Thanks
  12. That bondo may be hiding some rust. Water and stuff get trapped in behind the lower front fenders due to the lousy design and will rot out that section. I attached a few pix of what I had uncovered on my OE fenders and was not happy. Did not want repo fenders so I found used OE fenders that were in better condition then the ones I had and was able to make patch panels with them keeping the same contours and welded them in. OE fenders has a better fitment to the doors and the headlight buckets.
  13. I will do the best to describe my likes. When you start it up it gets peoples attention and when it idles it sounds throaty. When driving it it sounds like a muscle car but not so loud you cant hear Avenge Sevenfold/AC/DC/BILLY JOEL/LED ZEPPLIN on the sound system. Just want it to sound as good as it looks and not obnoxious. Is there a sound video for this set up. Would love to hear this. In the description it sounds like what I am looking for. Thanks
  14. THANKS. I just was not sure where the light got mounted. Looks like it gets mounted up inside the bumper.
  15. Mike- I will look into this one. THANKS.
  16. Hey MIKE Thanks. Since the kit does not come with mufflers what did 2 of them and hardware cost you.
  17. I bought a new light and am a little unsure on how to install it on my '69 Coupe. Can some post a picture of it installed. Thanks
  18. So I am ready to pull the trigger on a new exhaust system. My power plant is a 302 bored 60 over with a toploader 4 speed in a 69 Coupe. CJ Pony has a nice Magnaflow SS system for $612 shipped and a Flowmaster aggressive sounding SS system for about $450. Anyone have either one that can offer some guidance. I have 2.5 TRI-Y's from Scott Drake Thanks
  19. Well now that certainly answers alot of questions and tells me that the dash had to be replaced at some time and the first dash that they came across was the A/C Dash and used that one. Not interested in returning this one I have back to Year One and my wife says that maybe later on, I can add A/C to the car and she might be right. Or if i ever come across a POWER VENT set up, I could install that rare option. Either way the new dash looks awesome in the car. Thanks for the help wit this one.
  20. I am finally getting around to installing my new upper dash pad in my '69 Coupe. I purchased Year One Ford tooling original dash that was exactly the same as what was in it. I installed the new dual Kenwood speakers and was looking at the center vent assembly that was original to the car. I took good pictures when taking the car apart and see that the black plastic extension from the vent attached to nothing. The car did not come with A/C so I am not sure if I am missing parts that connects this to the heater box for air. I don't see any extra openings from the heater box to connect this to. What's up with this? Any suggestions? Thanks
  21. I made my template from a reliable source, was very easy to use and very happy with the results and would be happy to loan it to you. Let me know and I'll put in the mail (USPS) for you. Let me know. PM me your address.
  22. Thanks guys. I cut out 4 each .600 diameter round pads; cleaned the housing with alcohol pads and added the mirrors. They look great on the car.
  23. I bought new mirrors and need to know if anyone has any experiance replacing the mirror. I bought these from Cougar Parts.com and they are a nice fit. both kits came with these round adheasive stuff but came with no instructions. Anyone use these? Last thing I want to happen is the mirror fell of the car cuz I did not use thright adheasive AND I dont want the adheasive to bleed thru. Thanks
