I actually am removing the shock towers and installing a TCI IFS.

I am replacing both front frame rails, torque boxes, rad support, all front fender aprons and floors. I was wondering in what sequence I should replace the parts in order to keep things lined up?

That would be the harness I would buy if I were changing from the factory harness. I am going to diet a factory harness. I don't want to spend close to a $1000 for something i can do myself.

Noisy Ford Racing Retrofit Roller Lifters
Doogie replied to 1969 Mach1's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
You can not run retro roller lifters with a standard base circle cam. You will not get enough oil to the top end. The lifter is blocking the oil passage. You need a small base circle cam. I built a 351W stroker with a roller cam so I have been down this road before. -
I am putting a 96 Lincoln Mark 8, 4.6 DOHC (22K for $600) in a 70 Fastback. T45 5 speed ($80). I bought a TCI IFS kit with 4.6 mounts and some upgrades for 3K. I want a modern drivetrain with the classic styling. I do all my own work. I built a 67 coupe with a 530hp 393 stroker and hated it. I guess I am getting older and hp is not as important to me as street manners and drivability. Everyone that I have talked to who has done the swap said they would do it again.

I have been Tool & Die Maker/Machinist/Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright for 26 years. I also teach machining courses part time at a technical college. I love what I do and make a good living doing it. If you like working with your head and hands this is the trade for you. There are so many jobs you can do with a machining/welding background. There is a huge demand for skilled machinist in certain areas.

I know this is not a 69 but I am selling it to get money to build my 70 fastback. It's a original sheetmetal no rust coupe. Engine is a 4340 forged balanced & blueprinted stroked (393) 85 351W with "H" beam rods(500+HP). Custom ground hyd roller cam, Lunati roller lifters, Brodix heads,Victor jr. way too much to list. 300 street driven miles on dtrivetrain. Located in central PA. $10,500. Call 570-447-5202 or email htroup@pct.edu for all the details.

I have a complete std bore 351C 4v (closed chambered heads). Alternator & brackets & power steering brackets. It has exhaust manifolds but one has a D1 casting number. It has a Ford replacment Holley carb. Internally the engine was very clean. It needs rebuilt. I am located in central PA. Email me at htroup@pct.edu if interested.

Hello everyone, I just bought a 70 fastback that I am going to install a 69 front end. 69's are my favorite body style. I will leave off the quarter scoops(AKA 69 Boss 302). My intentions are to build a stock looking restomod. The car I got has a narrowed disc brake 9" rear with Moser axles and a 4 link with coilovers. I have a built 393W in a 67 coupe that I plan on mating with a T56 I have to put in the 70/69. I have had 67/68 & 71/73 Mustangs before so I hope this site will help me learn more about the 69/70's.
