  1. Problem solved, there was a slight bend in the sheetmetal by the front of the quarter window where the bottom of the window molding was hitting causing the top to push out. it was bent right where the small screw holds the very end of the weatherstrip in the door jamb

I installed door weatherstrip channels and new weatherstrips on my 69 mach 1. when I roll the window all the way up into the weatherstrip there is a quarter inch gap between the quarter window and the door glass weather strip only at the top. it overlaps fine, it is like the weatherstrip is to thick and is pushing the door glass out from the body, the weatherstrip looks good and installed perfecty, I have tried all door adjustments. there is no gap until the last inch where it goes into the top edge of the weatherstrip.:helpsmilie:

  5. after many inquireies and phone calls even to scott drake I have found out they have never reproduced this part, for some strange reason they have it on there site, along with some of their dealers . Still can not find a used one anywhere. I did get a good suggestion of how to make make one, until or if i find one.

  7. Thanks Brian for the information, now I have a clear picture of what needs to happen.after several years of this beauty sitting in my garage I am finally determined to finish it by summer. I have engine and trans installed, both doors complete including glass, the electrical done along with the dash installed . My goal is to make it look like it came from the factory, with everything rebuilt like new.
  8. I am in the process of installing c6 auto shifter in a 390 car, does anyone have a pic of how the linkage goes together to transmission. I am not even sure if I have the right parts. also I am unsure of where the neutral safety switch goes. any help would be much appreciated

  14. I know they reproduce the door, I have not been able to find the interior panel between the top of the door and the bottom of the back window. do you know where i can find it

  16. leave the old glued spacer in there....it will not come off the shoe, it gives the window the tilt position it needs to have to function properly, simply re glue in with 3m glass varathane. sand your glass where it is to be glued with a barell sander on your drill motor.

  22. I am in the process of installing new plugs for my rebuilt 390, The plugs are very hard to get to so I want the longest lasting plugs I can buy, any recomendations? The auto parts store recomended autolite platinum ap 45. They came with a gap of 044 my distributor does not have points, would this be the correct gap for the 390? the plugs that came with the 390 were gapped at 035 maybe that was for points I am not sure. any advice would be appreciated. thanks
