  1. I want to install a T-56 in my 1969 coupe, and i wanted to know if i would be able to install it without having to do any modifications to my transmission tunnel. I was also wondering if i needed to drop or move my engine down/backward in order to get it to fit.
  2. Thanks for the response fvike! I already installed the subframes and x brace about a year ago, and i love it so far! So overall, would you recommend getting it? Also, what would be a good spring rate for track/hard street driving? Was the install pretty painless? Do you have any more pictures of what the car looks like installed? Have you had any ground clearance issues? Sorry for all the questions, but your one of the only people i know who have it installed!

  8. I thought about it, but decided against it. I don't think it would be able to handle the power i would be putting out.
  9. Why would you say Maier Racing is better than TCP? I've heard so many debates about it.
  10. Hello, I have a 1969 coupe thats going to have a T56 6-speed, and a supercharged 351w. I want to make sure i have a good rear suspension setup for the car. I don't want to keep the leafs in the back, and was looking for a coil-over suspension system. I was thinking about getting either the G-Bar or Pushrod from TCP (linked below). Does anyone else have suggestions on which suspension system you would go with? As for price, the most i would pay is for the push rod from TCP. pushrod: http://www.totalcontrolproducts.com/rpss_fd.html g-Bar: http://www.totalcontrolproducts.com/gBar.html Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the picture afret! How do you wire these things anyway? Especially one that kills the alternator
  12. does anyone know what the requirements are for the NHRA and SCCA cutoff switches? I heard they need to be the push/pull type.
  13. Hello, I just recently relocated my optima red top battery into the trunk, and I need to add a battery cutoff switch. Which one would you guys recommend I get, and where would you put it? The car is a 1969 ford mustang coupe. I want to keep the car stock looking. I was thinking about mounting it behind the rear license plate. Thanks!
  14. Does mounting these require drilling into the body of the car? I was hoping to find one that maybe bolts onto existing bolts or something that clamps down. If so, i don't know how comfortable i would be with doing that : /
  15. I plan on doing some Open Track events in the next couple or months or so, and one of the requirements is to have a 2.5 lb Fire extinguisher with metal mounting bracket. The extinguisher has to be within drivers reach of the car. I was wondering if anyone had any good spot to mount this bad boy without having to drill into the frame of the car? I was thinking somehow mounting it to the passenger seat, or A Piller (haven't had time to check if thats a secure spot). When i get a roll cage in the future, it will be mounted on that, but im a couple years away from that
  16. Just letting everyone know, the brake job was a success! The car stops way better than before. Only question i have for you guys is, how do i find the right spot for where the brakes should be adjusted? I know you turn the star screw through the backing plate, but i just don't know where it should be set at. Thanks again for everyones help!
  17. Hello, On Friday, i am going to be rebuilding my rear drum brakes for my 1969 coupe. The car was originally 4 drum brakes, but sometime during its life, the fronts were converted to disk. The reason why i am rebuilding my rear is because i have a leak in my rear drum brake cylinders. Before i get started, i just had some questions. 1) How do i tell what size brake shoes i need? (completely stock drums, i've never changed the shoes while owning the car (2-3 years). 2) What advice do you have for someone whos never rebuilt drum brakes? (i'm def. above average with mechanic work, going to be my future career) 3) Whats the process for bleeding drum brakes (doing it by myself, and with another person) Thanks guys!
  18. Hello, I need to replace my wiring harness that goes from the connection from the firewall, up to my coil, oil pressure sending unit, and temperature sending unit. I've been looking at different wiring harnesses online, but they seem to mostly be for headlights, taillights, or the console. Anyone know where i can order one, or even just the correct name for it? Thanks!

  20. I have a set of the TCP subframes and xbrace installed and they make the car handle very well. When i first installed the subframe, i noticed a big difference. After about 6 months, i got the xbrace with the driveshaft loop, and it also improved the car. I would recommend it! I will try and take a picture of it as soon as i can!
  21. So your saying NOT to lift it where the strut bar area is going together twords the front of the car?
  22. What do you have in terms of front suspension? Also, what wheels are those? make, size
  23. Does anyone have any information of doing a Cobra IRS swap in a 1969 Mustang Coupe? Trying to build a track car with a T56 and supercharged 351w, and IRS would be nice. Just wondering Cost, where to get the parts, and how to install it. Thanks!
  24. I wanna get the TCP with FAB 9 and disk brakes. Let us know how it goes once you install them. If you could do a write up for it that would be awesome! :)
  25. I need help tunning my 1969 302 coupe's stock 2 barrel carburetor. I've got my timing set to 6 BTC, and .017 in my points (i'm not even sure if thats right). Im trying to get more performance out of it. Does anyone know where i should start with my tunning, and what everything should be set at? Its a stock 302, c4 automatic, has a K&N filter, open PCV system (14"x3" air filter). Thanks!
