My car had the spacers also, Took them out. Made a little difference.

The motor is still in my buddies car so I dont know what it looks like.

I was given a complete 1969 4v 351 engine today. Bad news is that it has a small crack I was told behind the fly wheel. Would it be worth having it welded or should I try to find another 69 block.

Both should work fine,use the one you like best.You can always change it later if you dont like it. Just dont put a cowl induction scoop on it.

Find you a local shop and have them build you a engine, probably come out cheaper. A lot of shops are hurting for business. Crate moter will be the quicker replacement. Good Luck.
