Rindelmach1 14 Report post Posted June 21, 2020 Looking to replace my very old harness with a new one made to look like original. Can someone tell me which harness is correct for 69 mach 1 351w 4v? there are several types and each have different color plugs, etc. Also what is the right way to route the harness? loosely over the engine or on the side through clips that hold headlight harness, etc.
Midlife 814 Report post Posted June 21, 2020 Depends upon whether your dash cluster has a tach or not. If it has a tach, you need the version that has 3 pins used on the voltage regulator plug: if alternator indicator lamp, you need the 4 pin used version of the voltage regulator plug. Beyond that, the harness is specific to engine size (due to wire lengths and location of alternator). Then, there is the size of the alternator as a third factor! Rindelmach1 14 Report post Posted June 21, 2020 I have a tach car (original to the mach 1) with alternator indicator lamp ( dummy light) with factory 351 windsor 4 barrel. Any chance you can post the NPD or CJPony link with the exact one?
