Johns Summer of 69 14 Report post Posted September 18, 2018 So I am in the process of getting my car road worthy and weather proof. I am trying to find out what was factory on the Coupe (and maybe what can work as well). On the driver's side I have the weatherstrip channel on the window glass and on the passenger side I have the weatherstrip channel on the quarter window. So what was factory? On the door or on the qtr window? As a side note the the passenger side window has a few small chips on the edge so "converting" it could hide that. Because these are not cheap I need to get the one what will work the best. Also as a side note – I need to adjust the "tilt" of the passenger glass to be parallel with the qtr. Do I move the bump stop down a bit and move the bolted arm on the front bracket to adjust it?
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted September 18, 2018 69 has the weatherstrip on the door glass, 70 has it on the 1/4 glass. But, there are exceptions. Check out the WCCC you tube video on this for proper explanation. It starts around 42:
Johns Summer of 69 14 Report post Posted September 18, 2018 Thanks I forgot about this gem. Should be standard "reading" for 1969-70 mustang owners
