alex 18 Report post Posted June 6, 2016 The turn signal light receptacle clips into the turn signal housing ( Take a look at http://www.cjponyparts.com/amp-hood-mounted-turn-signal-wiring-harness-1969-1970/p/WHD2/ and zoom in on the light bulb receptacle. Or do you mean, how does the turn signal housing (http://www.cjponyparts.com/hood-turn-signal-lamp-1969-1970/p/HDTS2/) attach to the hood scoop? The housing does use screws to attach to the scoop. Caseyrhe 650 Report post Posted June 6, 2016 How does housing attach to scoop. The screw hole receivers are cut at a 45 degree angle that matches to the 45 degree housing. My hole receivers are not threaded and are close to 1/4" in diameter. The screw kit I bought from CJ are way to small.

Ridge Runner 1,113 Report post Posted June 6, 2016 The scoop i have is missing a couple of the inserts also . You may have to make them from a nut sert ,you can get them at Home depot but you may need to cut them for length and epoxy them in .
Caseyrhe 650 Report post Posted June 6, 2016 That's what I was thinking, tried the brass ones for "furniture" but brass top slot for flathead broke off. Will figure it out. Thanks for your help, Ford owners think alike.
Ridge Runner 1,113 Report post Posted June 6, 2016 The originals were brass ,usually they had the wrong screw screwed in and they twisted out .
Caseyrhe 650 Report post Posted June 7, 2016 I had to drill out the hole a little as to not risk cracking scoop, epoxied in metal inserts, and then ran screws in to insure threads where clear. I then had to slightly taper the bottom side of the blinker housing to clear the newly installed insert.
