Chelby-Ann 47 Report post Posted February 8, 2015 I need to replace my DS/PS door glass weather strip that slides into the chrome molding on the glass. Anybody replace these? Who carries these? Will the fastback ones work? Thanks 1 Ernestgaig reacted to this
Chelby-Ann 47 Report post Posted February 9, 2015 Well at least I know what type of mud flaps to buy.
69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted February 9, 2015 I replaced mine but it's been a while. I recall you remove the screw holding them at the bottom and they "slide" out (with the help of some big pliers). Lube the new ones with some dish soap and they go in without too much trouble. Replace the screw. I found them here: http://www.cjponyparts.com/quarter-window-weatherstrip-left-cp-cv-1969-1970/p/WSQW3L/
det0326 179 Report post Posted February 9, 2015 Another source http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Ford-Mustang-Coupe-Conv-Quarter-Glass-Weatherstrip-/371107891915 After reading this description tho it says attaches to the front of the rear window I don't know if this is what you are looking for or not. I know the 69 and 70 coupes are reversed ( I think). I don't know if the rubber seal is the same for both or not. D ave
Chelby-Ann 47 Report post Posted February 11, 2015 Thank you. I ordered the ones I needed from NPD. I chose the Ford Tooling ones and they arrived today. Exactly like the ones that need to be replaced. FYI; these weather strips are different for fastback's and coupes.
