Anybody know what I have here? Thanks in advance! yes they will work but if the hole in the top is more than around .050" . . i would use oil restricter push rods with a .040" hole . . if you are building a high perf engine, i would do some oiling system upgrades because these engines have inherent oiling problems. mystangalang351 12 Report post Posted January 5, 2015 Do you know the difference between the 6500 A and 6500 D?
barnett468 418 Report post Posted January 6, 2015 Do you know the difference between the 6500 A and 6500 D? the only difference i am aware of on the lifters is the hole size on top . . the last digit often designates some change to a part but the parts are still interchangeable . . as far as any internal difference goes, ford lifters were all pretty much the same. barnett468 418 Report post Posted January 6, 2015 thank you no prob you're welcome . . just make sure the oil hole in the side of the lifter does not come above the bevel in the top of the lifter bores.
