new radiator old fan does not fit help

Recommended Posts

finally I could purge it

I feal that the fan eats more HP than the clutch fan, Im I wrong?

yes you are wrong, lol . . even though your chinese fan does cause more load on the alternator which in turn takes more hp to turn the puny 1 5 amps you fan requires to pull 25 cfm of air, it is negligible by comparison.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . This fan does not require any batteries at all.

If i idle it in the garage it will be fine, but if im in trafic it will heat up with the moving fast and slow speeds

ok quite simple . . your radiator is definitely too small and your fan also sounds small . . i would buy a bigger rad . m. how hot does it get? . . . how thick is your rad core not the top?

Have the same one before with no heating issues 22x16 so it gets like 6 hotspots

The electric fan is the problem is a 14 inch i know i need at least a 16 to cover 80% of the core

So i have 2 options

1- Get a taurus fan with shroud, fan controler, 75 amp relay

2-New shroud, thermal clutch & fan blades

For the electric i know what to get

but for the mech:

are the plastic blades better than the iron ones?

What thermal chutch would be better?

I can try to instal my stock stuff before I start replacing the mech parts

Let me know what you think

the fan that flows the most air in general is the flex a lite 1717 and 1717p.

the fan clutches are kinda messed up because the original length one is no longer made . . .

try a hayden 2710 auto stores and summit sells them,
