malcolm300 10 Report post Posted October 3, 2014 I have been wiring up the original alternator but seemed to have blown the voltage regulator when i connected the battery can some confirm my connections? alt regulator= F= field on alt I= igntion switch power A= battery positive terminal on soliniod S= STA on alt. then the 4 wires off the alt are: ground to ground on voltage reg. batt power to batt positive side of solinoid FLD to F on voltage regulator. STA to s on voltage regulator the car is a 302 69 with standard alt, also i have a ammeter wired up. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
