STL. Mark 11 Report post Posted December 10, 2013 Years (20?), ago my power steering went out on my Mustang. A friend put a different center link in and converted to manual steering but he is not around anymore. I want to get a new standard steering box but can anyone tell me what size the sector shaft might be? I know there are 1 inch and 1 1/8 inch. The car has a standard 302 without power brakes. Thanks! SunnDogg 18 Report post Posted December 10, 2013 I would reach out to Dan @ Chockostang. He specializes in Mustang steering and brakes and can provide you with the right info and correct rebuilt parts if need be. His website might also have the info you are looking for. I purchased a few parts from him he's easy to deal with and very helpful with questions. http://www.chockostangclassicmustang.com/

Unsure about my steering, I was hoping to upgrade to the new Borgeson power steering unit without the slave, does anyone have any thoughts about this?
