Steering Box

Years (20?), ago my power steering went out on my Mustang. A friend put a different center link in and converted to manual steering but he is not around anymore. I want to get a new standard steering box but can anyone tell me what size the sector shaft might be? I know there are 1 inch and 1 1/8 inch. The car has a standard 302 without power brakes. Thanks!

His website might also have the info you are looking for. I purchased a few parts from him he's easy to deal with and very helpful with questions.

Mine is 1-1/8". My understanding is 69-70 is 1-1/8 and the earlier were 1". Don't know what year they changed.

I just talked with Dan on the phone, very nice fellow, I plan on ordering my brakes through him.

 

Unsure about my steering, I was hoping to upgrade to the new Borgeson power steering unit without the slave, does anyone have any thoughts about this?
