1969Fstback 58 Report post Posted June 27, 2013 Never thought about it, but it looks like you guys really enjoy watching project progress. I bought my 69 fastback in October of 2012. I haven't had much time until lately to work on it. It needed floor boards, seat risers and toe boards. All of that is done. It needs door skins, qtrs, tail light panel, tail light fillers, and patch panels on the front fenders. I have all of those parts in boxes in the garage. It has the original serial number matching 302. Seems to run good. Not sure how good. Drove it a few miles then put her in the garage. Oh, someone put a sunroof in it years ago, so the roof skin is being replace. My vision.... Going to shave the door handles, shave the drip edge, shave the antennea. No emblems, or side moldings nothing shiny. Going with the snug fit rear bumber. Thinking all satin black, bumpers window trim and all. Planning on using smoked clear side marker lights. Off of what I don't know yet. It will be lowered atleast an inch. I posted 2 pics. The car on the trailer on the way home and the welded floors. Right now I have the driver door tore down. 1969Fstback 58 Report post Posted June 27, 2013 Here is my driver door patch. Everything in gray has been rebuilt. I know 9 times out of 10 you replace the entire door. But from the fit horror stories and the fact I am not building a show car, I opted to just patch it.

RPM 1,190 Report post Posted June 27, 2013 I doubt anyone will see the repair. And you have the benefit of a properly fitting door. Bob
