Thunderscrash 10 Report post Posted June 22, 2013 Like most people, at some point in time someone had the bright idea to put 5" holes in the rear side plastic panels for speakers. I was wondering if anyone has used fiberglass to fill in the holes and how well did that work for you? I have no experience with fiberglass so I am curious how easy it would be to do this. Is there a write up about it anywhere?

miketyler 15 Report post Posted June 22, 2013 (edited) I'm sure it's do-able but i dont know its been discussed. The ultimate challenge will be restoring the surface texture so that it matches the rest of the panel. There was a thread about installing speakers and grilles in the panels that follow the contours of the panels as seen in some later model cars. RPM 1,190 Report post Posted June 23, 2013 I think quality speakers in the holes would look better than trying to fill them with fiberglass. Don't know how you could match the grain without making a mold. Bob
