Tgriffin91 27 Report post Posted June 11, 2013 Hi, I am having some trouble finding the cause of this problem. I recently got my turn signals up and running with a new flahser relay. Now the right turn signal blinks much much slower than the left. I cleaned as many grounds and contact points as I could find and this did not fix the issue. I replaced the rear bulbs and still nothing. I switched the front turn bulbs thinking that the left would now blink really slow, but the left blinked the same and right was still slow. I am hoping it is not the turn signal switch, but this is my last thought. Anyone have any advice? Greatly Appreciated, Thomas
LoneWolf2U 136 Report post Posted June 11, 2013 Does it have proper body ground straps in place? Try adding a ground wire from the neg post cable to the body/rad support. If that did not help, your prob going to have to change the signal switch out.
Tgriffin91 27 Report post Posted June 11, 2013 Ok Thanks. Is there already one there or will I have to add it? I think I saw one and checked the contact, cleaned it up and such. Same with the one in the trunk. I will double check this when I get home and see what I can come up with. Thank you.
danno 128 Report post Posted June 12, 2013 If all the bulbs are flashing on both sides, just at different speeds, I think you have dirty contacts on your switch. You might also check to see that when the bulbs do flash, they are at the same brightness. The side that is flashing slow could have one bulb dim, and it could be dim because it does not have a good ground. You might need to take the turn signal switch apart and clean the contacts.
