TexasEd 188 Report post Posted May 10, 2013 How many blades is the alternator fan supposed to have on a 1969 302-2V alternator? The alternator I have now looks pretty close to correct but has an 11 blade fan. Just curious because since I'm cleaning up my engine bay I was going to replace the bent and oxidized fan with a new one. NPD has 10 and 13 blade options for about $10. TexasEd 188 Report post Posted May 10, 2013 After reading the NPD descriptions again it looks like the 13-blade fan is the correct one. It was used from 10/66 through 11/69.
