69volunteer 84 Report post Posted October 15, 2012 I have a new power disc MC, a new distribution block and new brake lines. I believe the larger bowl (back) goes to the front line inlet on the distribution block and the smaller bowl (front) goes to the rear line inlet. Unfortunately, the lines I have are just the opposite: larger bowl to rear brake line inlet and the smaller bowl to the front brake line inlet. Why the difference in the size of the bowl? Primary (larger) for front and secondary (smaller) for rear?
LoneWolf2U 136 Report post Posted October 15, 2012 Rear are self adjusting and front need the extra fluid for pad wearing out.
69gmachine 15 Report post Posted October 15, 2012 Disc brakes use more volume of fluid than drums, and even on a 4 wheel disc car, the front brakes use larger diameter pistons.
