Burn 14 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 Hey Guys, I'm looking into buying a front chin spoiler for my '70 and was wondering who makes the best repop? Great fit and correct texture are somewhat important. I see NPD and Tony Branda make some plastic ones. Does anyone have any experance with these two? Also, do these need painted or are they correct color out of the box? Thanks. Jim
maxum96 32 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 Bought mine from NPD. The bottom of the center seams to curl up a bit on hot days. But I've seen pictures of other chin spoilers doing the same thing. Otherwise happy with it. Watch out for parking bumps if you put one on.
MAD IN NC 21 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 to maxum96 point I had to cut little "v" reliefs on mine to get it to follow the curve correctly, then screwed the crap out of it.... believe I went with Branda

I don't know why I didn't think of that. I know what's happening. The spoiler is heating up and expanding. Did you make just one "V" cut in the center? Burn 14 Report post Posted August 21, 2012 Did you guys paint yours or leave it as you got it? I'm not even for sure what color it should be.
maxum96 32 Report post Posted August 21, 2012 Unpainted. But my car will not be anything close to a concours car.
