69R-CODE 25 Report post Posted July 9, 2012 All, I am now to the point of installing my parking brake on the car. The restoration shop installed new torque boxes and toe boards. Problem is they forgot to cut out the hole and run the e-brake cable. Now I have to figure out how to run the cable up through the torque box and cut out a new hole. Anyone have pictures or advice how to run the cable up and mount??
MustangChuck 16 Report post Posted July 9, 2012 I just took my cable out. It was rather difficult. I had to remove the assembly from the car then slowly pull and twist the cable out (using WD-40 as a lubricant). Putting it back in is likely going to be difficult since you have to feed it in from the top and snake it out a small hole at the bottom. The cable is (as you would expect) quite stiff. I had the advantage of not having a floor in the way at the time. Good luck. Hopefully someone will chime in on an easy way. M/C
