Power Steering Pump?

Does anyone have a good pic of the way the power steering pump mounts to the water pump? The bracket I'm using is the one seen below. I must be missing a spacer or something, its not lining up properly. Thanks in advance!

I can't see your picture, but this is what I just took off my car. It's a 69 302 with passenger side water pump inlet

With Ac the compressor mount is the spacer.

Without Ac, There is a 5/8-11/16 spacer that goes on the thru bolt to the head to mount the pump.

Perfect this looks like my set up. Is there a spacer that goes behind the lower bolt that attaches to the water pump?

no not to the water pump but to the head the long bolt

I guess I need to look at getting another bracket. The engine shop did put a new water pump on and it looks like there are several different styles of brackets used on the our cars.

not sure if it matters or not, but the link you posted , the "D1ZA" is a 1971 part number. if its a 302, the timing cover & water pump changed in 70.

What year engine do you have? Is this for a 1969 302?

Water pump inlet passenger or Driver side?

Does the car have AC or not?

 

These things matter.

The engine is a 69 302, no ac and the inlet is on the pass side.

I think this is the issue, nice catch! There is a local Mustang shop that I have looking for the correct bracket. I hope to hear from them early next week.
