LindenBruce 27 Report post Posted January 26, 2012 The center cap is your thrust bearing as well. Fully remove the bolts from each cap, then lightly tap each cap with a soft faced hammer inline with the crank. You may have to tap each cap back and forth several times, but they will come off all right. Just be sure and completely remove the bolts before tapping. Bruce this is what Ive been doing but these to caps dont have to much room to move back and forth. Im gonna PV blast them tonight and try a deadblow again.
