krewlstang 10 Report post Posted October 31, 2010 Does anyone know who sells the 3 piece torque boxes anymore. NPD lists them, but when you call them they only have the 1 piece ones, same for MU.
dlinebar 2 Report post Posted October 31, 2010 I think they may have them
manley 13 Report post Posted November 2, 2010 3 piece? You can find the 2 piece boxes easily enough. I've never heard of 3 piece boxes. I recommend paying the extra money for the more correct 2 piece Dynacorn parts if you are replacing the toe boards, too. Wish I had known the difference. krewlstang 10 Report post Posted November 4, 2010 I thought the 2 piece boxes were just the bottom and the foward vertical pieces.
Fordrevhead 29 Report post Posted November 4, 2010 The torque box is three sided so that causes confusion already. The top is one piece, the front and bottom is the second bent piece. You can get a three piece torque box set from Dynacorn though. The third piece is actually the frame rail gusset (sold elsewhere for another $15-20). I got mine from Laurel Mountain. They claimed the Dynacorn sets sometimes have that third piece sometimes they dont. He physically put me on hold and went to double check on the shelf that the current stock (at that time) had the third piece before I ordered. Same price too. krewlstang 10 Report post Posted November 4, 2010 Ahh, that clears up alot. The last time I replaced one I bought the 1 piece jobs and fought to fit them in, so I figure the 2/3 piece ones would be easier to install.
maxum96 32 Report post Posted November 4, 2010 My heavy gauge Dynacorn torque boxes came with the gusset.
