Boss 302 Intake Manifold "FIREING ORDER"

Hey, did you guys ever notice on a Boss 302 Intake is printed "FIREING ORDER" instead of Firing Order?

 

On this one the 5 has been beadblasted off or something.

Haha, I can't believe I've never seen that mentioned before. I'm assuming that's an original Ford part, right? Sad thing is, it would have been made in the USA or Canada back then so they should have spotted it as they spoke the language.

Weird. Not all of them are like that.

Interesting. It doesn't look like the first one has numbers above each port on the runners either. Did anybody ever knock these off?

It's a real Ford part, not a knock off. The spelling error has been well documented. All 3 versions of the production Boss 302 intake were cast by Buddy Bar in Southern California (There's a D1 service part number intended for the '71 Boss 302 that was scrapped).

That's just it, the numbers are cast into the runners and the Buddy Bar is cast into the bottom side of it. It's not mine, but it's on ebay right now in Amherst NH... check it out.
