unfrozen1969 11 Report post Posted June 7, 2010 I have 69 convertible, and I need to know how wide the door opening is suppose to be. Part of the floor is out and I am affraid that the car has sagged, and before I start putting the floors back in, I need to know what the opening distance is, and then brace it up properly. Also, I will need to know the measuring points, for example, from top hinge to door clamp, etc. If more than one convertible owner wants to post their measurements, that would be great so that I can compare to see what the deviation point is... Thanks Bill
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted June 7, 2010 I've never seen a printed measurement for this. I'd use the doors as a reference. Maybe a better way is to have it put on a frame machine and measure it. That will let you know if the front or rear is high or low in relation to the center.
jmlay 80 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) As long as the chassis measurements are the correct then the door jam distance should be correct. Edited June 8, 2010 by jmlay
