Sidthing 10 Report post Posted November 30, 2009 Some dumbass removed the pilar emblems on my 69 and ground off the studs. Have any of you had to tackle this repair? I've had it suggested to me to just drill holes and use pop rivets but I would rather have the welded on studs.
S code 69 13 Report post Posted November 30, 2009 I had the same thing, you can't use pop rivets they're a special stud. I used 3M double sided tape and it took some doing to get it in the right places on the back of the emblem because it's not flat. It looks fine , I compared it to a car with studs and it fits excatly the same. almost all emblems are stick on anymore it works fine, just use a high quality tape not the dime store stuff.
