Wiring Issue Some lights work - Some dont!

Recommended Posts

Hello, working on full restoration of a 70 fastback. About 95% done with the restoration and ready to get it on the road. My wiring looks to be in decent shape. I took all the old housing off, inspected the wires and retaped with black electrical tape.

Issue. Turn on my lights and I get headlights and tail lights and dimmed side marker lights, plus my blilnker dash lights are on (right one brighter than the left). No break lights, dash lights, interior lights (with key on or off). Didn't have the car running but didn't think that mattered as long as the ignition was on?

I checked my grounds on the front and back and by the dash and they seem to work - front headlights turn off if I disconnect.

Thougths? Questions?

I truley appreciate your time.
