Will This Trans Work For My Vert ?

Im looking at buying this Trans, Im just wandering if it will work behind a 351W for my 69 Vert. Is the toploader a good trans or should I just rebuild the C4 I have ? Is $400.00 a good price ?

It will work but these mid to late 70's topladers are geared more toward fuel economy than performance (if performance is what you seek). It's basicly a 3 speed with overdrive 4th gear. 1-3 ratio's are spread out wide and 1st gear is shallow.. You will have to find a early toploader shifter and not sure if the tailhousing would be correct for a older Stang. Looky here http://www.davidkeetoploaders.com/imposters.htm. IMO go with a T5 if you want a manual trans fairly cheap.
