95venom 10 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 sorry dont know of any place where you can get just the mirror but i think you can get the whole thing pretty cheap with glue from NPD
Pakrat 1,043 Report post Posted September 5, 2008 You can try looking at what this place has, may not have what you want specifically listed for your model year but dimensionally something else may fit. http://www.burcoinc.com/ There really isn't anything special about the mirror and pretty much any glass replacement shop can actually cut you a replacement for it, try asking around locally at some different ones. Don't be surprised though if this is one of those things where buying a whole new unit ($30-$40) is actually cheaper in the end then trying to replace or fix the one part (like anything chrome for example) especially if it's a day/night unit. Crack the new mirror once trying to secure it and it's good money after bad, let them do it (if they even will) and you're even priced.
SELLERSRODSHOP 13 Report post Posted September 6, 2008 the inside rear view glass isn't replaceable in most instances. they are a tapered glass that is generally molded into the housing. best bet is buy a replacement head & be done with it.
bnickel 10,004 Report post Posted September 6, 2008 yeah inside mirrors use specialized glass that can't be cut at the local glass shop. they do fine with exterior mirrors though. your best bet is to either buy a new replacement mirror or find a good used one somewhere
69in2006 11 Report post Posted September 6, 2008 If your aren't worried about staying stock, you can use a rear view mirror out of 94 til about 03 convertible mirrors..they have interior/map lights..adds extra lighting when the doors are open...only a 3 wire hookup.. Gazoo 10 Report post Posted September 17, 2008 I went to pick-your-part and got a mirror with the nighttime-dimming feature from a Lincoln. It fits right on the same mounting boss.
