Out racing the 69 yesterday

Finally had the time to take my 69 HT to the track yesterday. Man what a blast, it keeps you smiling for 14 days easy.

Consistently pulling 0.9-0.95 G in the corners. I'm on street tires so braking is great the first 2 laps and then I have to ease off a good deal. 13" Cobra brakes & EBC Red Stuff pads work great!

The good part is that its open track so I get to race Ferraris, Porsche GT3, BMW M3/M5, TRW, Audi S5 as well as this sweet Audi R8. Then of course the usual crowd of Subarus, BMW, Alfa Romeo's etc etc.

 

Cant wait to get the new turbo FB out for comparison next year. R888 rubber all around will make a 10 sec difference per lap on their own.

Looks like a great time! I hope to do the same with my car soon. What rear wheel width and backspace do you have with those big tires? I lowered my suspension and will be getting new wheels and tires soon. Looks great!

In the rear I have 295/30R18 on a 18x10 wheel with 6.38" backspace. Fits without rubbing except a little hammer work inside the fender well front. Lip is not rolled.

That's awesome, I am extremely excited to get mine out to Englishtown's open track. I am new to all of it but am sure it will be a ton of fun.
