Question about my Steering

i'm a total noob to mustangs, so maybe an expert here can help me.

my car came with power steering as you can see on the pictures.

is that the standard power steering on a 1969 mustang or an after market product, because i could not find any hint about power steering in the marty report of my car?

 

the complete steering needs to be overhauled, therefore i'm planing to replace it with a rack and pinion system. do you guys think what should work without problems?

On 4/12 and guess what.... when I got home a 53# box was awating for me.... Since it's going to rain Saturday - guess what I'm doing

i got to wait for the stuff from npd and discbrakeswap to arrive cause i have to replace the upper and lower suspension arms and i'm upgrading to power disc brakes.

 

and because i travel to the usa in mid may, i'm not shure if the car will be done before june... :sad:

 

maybe i'll bring it to a local mechanic, so everything will be ready when i return. :punk:
