icebluestang 10 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 I found this 1969 Mustang on Ebay, how do you think the front end is so low? You can't even fit your fingers in between that fender and tire. What are Shelby Specs on a Mustang? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Mustang-Fastback-5spd-Silver-Jade_W0QQitemZ220122617132QQihZ012QQcategoryZ6236QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Truck 12 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 http://www.mustangspecs.com/years/69-70shelby.shtml Apparently, that would have to be 1968 specs because Shelby didn't put a 302 in a 69. I guess the upshot is that they tried to make a shelby out of a Mustang. Obviously, it's easier to get the body the same 'tech spec' than to fabricate all the body out of fiber. It's a nice concept, but I doubt it would add more value than just having a regular Mustang. The upgrades can be nice, if the guy who did them didn't put in more bugs than he took out. GT350 16 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 i think what he means is its lowered to shelby spec with the lowered upper A-arm.javed
Arrowhead 10 Report post Posted June 18, 2007 Maybe it's just the way it's sitting, but something doesn;t look right. I a 4" drop is way more that just lower the upper control arms too. I'd be very surprised if the tires don't rub.
Truck 12 Report post Posted June 18, 2007 I'd be very surprised if the tires don't rub. I'll take that as: 'Got bright idea to lower it, then couldn't afford lo-pro wheels....'
