Anyone come across other alternatives for this? I was just looking around the net for some new stuff and maybe some better pricing and so far the only other one I have come across is this one: http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCatalog/GrillParts/billet-grills.htm

Looks better than the cal-mustang one for sure and is a bit cheaper but I still don't like the idea that they seem to delete the inner trim ring, the lights look kind of lost without them to me.

I think we posted about this one once in another thread and it does keep the trim rings too and I guess with free shipping it's not a bad price in comaprison. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/69-Mustang-custom-made-billet-grille-1969-mach-1--new_W0QQitemZ310116861922QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090120?IMSfp=TL0901201110009r533

This seems like a new twist, just an overlay that somehow attaches to the exisiting plastic grill. I'd be curious to inspect it up close but at $100 it could be worth a gamble. https://www.realtruck.com/application/DX-FD260:2141:2106969/dux_automotive_billet_aluminum_grille_grille_insert_ford_mustang_1969.html

I'm kinda really curious about that last overlay one, I'd really like to hear some testimony or see a customer pic up real close. At a glance it looks as nice as the ebay one and at less than half the price if it looks that good up close..........

No.

Those design's are way too "busy". Why don't they just make a grille with the stock design? (Or close to it.) The chrome outside the rings is a downer, too.

that's why i made my custom chrome grill that mimics the original chrome grills that 69grandeCJ and Trinity's have on their cars

I agree that 16 center bars in place of the original 8 bars is way too much, I could swear I remember seeing one that had 12 bars once which was better but you really don't need more than 8. The original chrome grill is OK but I like the look of only horizontal bars better than I do with vertical too, it just seems too busy also. I think I'll stick with my plan to do the faux billet look I had originally intended on by making just the horizontal bars to overlay on the original part, I'm just really not looking forward to making all those notches every 1 3/4" that's going to be some 150-200 precision cuts to make.
