69 Coupe de jour 10 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 After looking at the 69 sales brochure, I noticed what looked like a engine badge under the Mustang lettering on the fender. Yet I haven't seen it on any Grandes on the road. Any comments?
351carlo 10 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 I have one that says 351 under the Mustang script on my '70.
buening 63 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 I've always wondered this too. I've also seen some badges that were not rectangles, but parrallograms (sides slanted). Subscribing :)
bnickel 10,004 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 only on 351 cars and some 390 cars. if the car had a hood scoop the badge would be mounted on the scoop and if not it would be mounted on the fender under the mustang script. the 390 parralellogram badge is very rare but i've seen a few. 69grandecj 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2006 Bnickel is correct. It was used on 351 & 390 cars that did not have the hood scoop. So normally it would be for the standard models that did not received the hood scoop option. Grandes with 351s or 390s did come with the emblem.
