  2. Hey all, I've been on vacation and will try adjusting the modulator this weekend. I'll let ya know how it turns out.

  4. Hey, I had this exact problem when I put new take offs on my 69. The 235/55/17 are too tall for the front. I went with a 235/45/17 which dropped the tire about a inch and a half. No problems now and its stance is great!
  5. My FMX shifts super fast. I mean, I'm in third gear by 25 mph! This sucks..To get any performance I have to shift manually, then I feel like Johnny Racer trying to show my butt. Modulator maybe? Any suggestions? shoot it and replace with AOD!
  6. Thanks for all the input. I did an experiment yesterday. I cranked it up and let it run but not to the point of opening the thermostat and had the hood open. After I shut it down, no fuel dripping. I think it is boil over so I'm going to try a spacer this week. I'll keep yall posted.
  7. I'm having a strange problem with my Holley 600 vacuum sec. Ayear or so ago, I started smelling gas after the car had been driven. I looked down the venturi with the engine off and every few seconds gas would dribble out of the accelerator pump. I thought the carb had never been rebuilt so I rebuilt the carb and now have a similar problem. After driving the car (351W) when you shut it off it smells like gas. If you try and recrank it, it will crank but smoke for a minute and act flooded. The floats are adjusted properly so I'm at wits end. Could it be a warped metering block? any suggestions? Thanks
  8. Call me crazy, but I used a low gloss enamel. It has a low lustre, doesnt show finger prints, easy to spray, and looks fantastic!
  9. Dont forget your turn signals, its a cool, easy install, and really sets the car apart at night

  11. No, but we use 4 little self tapping screws. They are alot smaller than I imagined. Cutting the hood with a nibbler took about 30 minutes, install scoop, run the two wiring harness's. Only problem was when I pulled the connector loose to the left turn signal, my grounding wire pulled off the light. Quick fix. Hid all the wiring, they work great and look awesome! Money well spent.......
  12. Hey all, just a note. Mansfield Mustang continues to carry the wiring harness that runs from the turn signals to fire wall ($38.95) This was the only place I found that carries this piece. Most will carry the lenses and wiring from scoop to firewall. Thanks Randy
  13. Hey all, I ordered my turn signal lenses, bulbs, and wiring harness today for my hood scoop. I had been wanting to do this for a while but other projects kept coming up! My question is: does anyone know what size screw attaches this lenses to the inside of the scoop? Of course mine never had them. The girl at Mustang Unlimited was unsure if the lenses came with "mounting hardware" so I though I would ask. Thanks Randy
  14. I had the Magnum wheels on my 69 before putting on the 07 take-offs. I ran a 225/60/14 on the front and a 235/60/14 on the back. I had no problems and it had the correct stance
  15. If I rmember right, the stock Holley comes with 64 or is it 66 size jets. I'll try going up two sizes and also check my spark plug gap. RKS, sounds like we have the same engine. I think these engines stock were rated at 250hp, so I'm thinking 300 is a good ballpark figure. Theres a shop around the corner from my house with a dyno, so after rejetting I think I'll do a couple runs.
