rockheretic 10 Report post Posted September 25, 2006 When I turn off my engine and remove the key, the engine continues to run. It is not backfiring or dieseling. I disconnect battery ground and that doesnt stop it. Sounds like a bad ground but where? Thanks
69 Coupe de jour 10 Report post Posted September 27, 2006 Sounds like a bad ignition switch, have you check this?
Spoofty 10 Report post Posted September 27, 2006 At engine wiil run without a batt as it has the alt for power. Try unplugging the wire marked I on the solinoid. If this shuts it off then I think it would be a bad ignition switch.
351carlo 10 Report post Posted September 27, 2006 Make sure your connections on the starter relay are not backwards. The plug in boots need to be on the correct side. I've had this same exact thing happen to me.
