Media Blasting

Has anybody tried the Eastwood "Blast Out of a Bucket Kit"?

I'm looking to strip down my engine bay and I was wondering if this would be a good choice. Also, what type of blast media would you recommend for this project? Thanks in advance.

I've never tried that one in particular but I already had a bucket so I bought a gun at home depot for like $15. Regular play sand works good on small delicate items but for large area blasting I like 10-20 crushed recycled glass.

I don't have the exact same thing either but have an old unit that is similar. Mine has a cone shaped bottom in the bucket with the intake at the bottom and has worked quite well for small things.

 

I did end up having a guy come by with a big blaster to handle my engine bay, trunk, heads, intake and headers though. Was very well worth it for such a large project.
