I'm crossing over from the dark side. (former 71 Mach1 owner)

 

I just rescued this 69 M code Mach from a 6 year stint on jack stands.

 

 

Very solid car. No sheet metal will need to be replaced. Minor rust on

exterior. Not a numbers matching car so resto-mod is not out of the

question.

 

I'm sure I will have plenty of questions about 69s, hope you don't mind.

 

I completely redid a 71 Mach and have pretty good knowledge of them.

looks like a nice project. my car was originally lime gold, when i bought it it was a dark green but it was so oxidized it almost looked like flat black. fast forward to last year and it finally got it's newest and final color acapulco blue. i've also got all the parts to convert it to deluxe black interior, except the front seats which are 86 gt buckets that i will have re-covered to look more "stock" i'm also going to toss the halo head rests and go with a shorter headrest instead.

 

anyway, welcome aboard there isn't much in the way of questions that someone here can't answer

I've done a 72 mach and a 73 coupe... and I was entirely sold on the 71 to 73 body style for years... but the new 05 ponys put an itch in me for a mustang with 4 headlights blinking at me...

Nice , did your car come with a factory rear antenna? My brothers car also had a rear antenna
