So I'm selling off all my parts for my 68 coupe. It's a mix of repo and original parts. Repo's are all new in packaging but will sell for lower then listing price Let me know what you need

On the dash pad I took out the screw in the lower dash behind the trim cap over by the door panel. Then I removed the 3 screws at the windshield to give me enough slack to wiggle things out. I then took out the 6 screws holding the clock panel to the dash pad and lower dash. Carefully wiggle things out because those plastic parts ar extremely brittle

Yea that's the company I used, he takes the oem movements from the units he concerts and reconditions then and resells them. They are currently out of stock tho

I just converted my 69 and my dads 70 deluxe clocks over to a quartz movement. If anyone is a little overwhelmed to tackle the conversion send me your clock and the conversion along with anything else like lenses to install and I'll do it for a fraction of the other guys. A side note, after I finished our conversions I was tinkering with the original movements and was able to get them working on the bench. We aren't concours cars so we went with the quartz for reliability and less battery drain

thanks guys once i got my ass in the trunk i was able to find the connecter above the wheel well. it was unplugged.....it must have been pulled out by mistake one time because i never disconnected it. well anyways, im glad something was an easy fix for once in a while. btw the pics were a huge help thanks !!!

I just looked at my dads 70 marti report and it's not listed on the options either. He does have the heavy duty cooling package, maybe the bigger battery was part of that?

Thanks the 69 is mine, the 70 is my dads he's the 2nd owner, bought off a buddy in 71 that needed to sell it to get married. The car has 56k miles never restored

The group 27 battery was an option available. My dads 70 351c has the 27 battery. If yourcar doesn't have the 27 tray it either didn't come with it from the factory or over the years the wrong replacement was installed. My 69 was originally a 390 car but had the 24 group battery

Oh ok gotcha now, now the fun part of trying to contort my 6'1" 230lb self in the trunk lol

Night owl, I pulled my sail panel off and have the pigtail your owing that is grounded to the frame structure of the quarter. I am not getting power at that pigtail

thanks guys. I remember it working not too long ago and I havent had anything apart really that i could say that i might have pinched a wire....and if i did ground it out like that, id be constantly blowing the fuse for that circuit no?!?

there is an additional connection besides the one right behind the bulb?

The drivers side courtesy light on the c-pillar (sail panel by rear seats) isn't working. Tried replacing bulb, nothing. Tested for power at the terminal, no juice......the power wire goes down into the quarter panel somewhere out of sight. All of the other dome/courtesy lights including the truck light work. Anyone have Any clue where to trace that wire to?

Like mike said they are pressed into a sleeved nut that is also pressed into the deck lid. Youll have to take the letter off probably break the studs in the process, knock the old tube nut out and hope the hole in the decklid isnt too enlarged now that the new one will press in tightly. Unless u are doing a concours car i would prob just remove the A and get one of the repo set of letters that are attached with tape, or get some moulding tape and reattach your letter with the tape
