  1. Save your money on the repros, lots of original arms out there still. Just picked up a pair and they look SO much better.
  2. I find $60.00 for a repro...seems high for a housing and bulb or is that just me?? What do others do???
  3. sweet, thanks mike for the assist!
  4. 1969 mach 1. Clock side of dash..bottom left side are some vents and holes. My guess is a map light, but doing a search I'm coming up empty. Please fill in the empty hole.
  5. Where did they put the casting numbers ...valve train?
  6. Here's what I know... 6 bolt valve covers, thermostat housing is in the intake manifold, small diameter spark plugs ( not the fat ones). C6 transmission, fuel pump bolts are front to back.Everything fits for a 351W except the plug size...
  7. The gentleman that was helping me use to do the transmissions at the ford dealer back in the 70's . that was my source of information and the one who choose the purple strip modulator. I was asking if his information about the heavy vacuum of the 1969 didn't match up with the minimal vacuum of the 1975+ transmission??which is why he swapped the modulator
  8. Here's what I know...1969 Mach1, 351W, C6 3 speed Shifting in and out of 1st was way to early, 2nd & 3rd was fine. Put it in the air and found the modulator was a push in. Pulled what was their and installed a 36160P. This helped 1st gear , but messed up 2nd and 3rd. I am told that because of the vacuum differences this is the best I can expect. I normally do manual's, this is my first auto so am asking for help on information to correct the problem short of rebuilding a screw-in C6
  9. with the temp sender and gauge connected...power on... nothing ground wire going to gauge...power on... gauge max's out
  10. Removing the after market gauges the PO installed and connecting dash gauges. Starting with water temp, installed new sender, turn key to power...nothing. Ground lead going to sender gauge maxes out.. Bad sender or what am I missing?? The only gauges connected are the speedometer(cable) and Fuel( which reads WAY low for the fuel level)
