Scored a sweet set of the race mirrors on eBaY - great shape, and the cable remote still works great! -

I also finally put together my Christmas Present from my wife... Hobart 00550 Auto Arc 130 kit http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VECKTM/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Really nice kit, and should be sufficient for the welding I need to do. Its actually made by Miller under the Hobart/AutoArc name, and all the internals are identical to the Miller. I also like that the cart is nice and small. Since I'm working out of a 1-car garage, I need all the space savings I can find! Its supposed to rain here this week, so I don't know that I'll get to try it out for a few days. -

Hey just and FYI - if you're looking for these brackets there's ONE set left on eBaY right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/201040418005?item=201040418005&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr

That's what I think too, but until I crack it open and see what's going on in there then I'll have to decide if its worth rebuilding or scrapping for a 9" It does spin freely with no grinding/noises, but all I've done is roll it up and down the driveway. :donatello:

I'm going to be running a 4.6 32v Mod Motor out of an '04 Mach 1
-
I think you're right on the '66... I googled that year and it looks identical: Are these any good? Is it worth rebuilding - or should i just invest in a 9"?

Finally got a decent pic of my rear :asshole:  Anyone know by looking which rear-end this is?

So the Marti report shows that the car was originally Gold/Ginger. Similar to these cars: I got a letter from the previous owner today saying that he found some pics of the car when he got it in the late 90s. At some point it was painted red. He then did most of the body work, and stripped it and primed it. Last night I was taking off some of the busted windshield trim brackets and was able to confirm that Marti and the PO were both right! :) Gold & Red!! -

I cleaned the car out last night (its been full of parts all winter), and will have it out this weekend! I'll get some good pics of it for all you guys. I also have some questions on some parts that I'll get pics of as well. -
I have both Blair, and HF cutters so I'm not worried about it if I have to remove it completely. Is the best way to patch it to cutout the damaged part and use it as a template on the new steel? Then stitch it back in?
-
Hey guys, I have to replace these on my car, and already go the new metal from CJs. I can see that there are a series of spot welds where it meets the shock tower and upper frame rail, but how did Ford attach it to the firewall? Is that just seam sealer??

I'm going to be running one along the top of the rear window like the '05-09 CDC Mustangs had, but mine will run the length of the glass: http://shop.classicdesignconcepts.com/mustang-high-mount-brake-light-1999-14

'03-04 Mach 1 engine in a '69-70

yeah - that's the same car I posted -
Anyone know if you can get the hood scoop from the motor to fit though the stock '69/70 hood. Here's a photo I found of someone who did my swap: This guy also did it, but fabbed up some stupid (IMHO) metal work around the scoop. http://www.legendarycollectorcars.com/2010/12/1969-mustang-mach-1-custom-by-larry-payne/ I'm hoping I can get it to work without having to do that, and wondering if anyone knows...:punk:

I found ONE bracket on ebay today and picked it up... if I can't find a second in the next year or so, I'll just make one.

New ones arrived! -
I don't think much of these parts are original, so I'm not sure exactly what it was. I know finding the parts for the fold downs is a PITA and also expensive. So it may just end up as a fixed back for the near future until I can swing the money for the fold down.

Damn - that sucks. It's such a simple bracket too! I have the hinges luckily. I guess worst case I could make my own until I find some.
