Looks great. I will be welding in my firewall tonight and start drilling the rest of my floor. I need to get my pics posted.

Yeah I just went ahead and cut it out. I got the new one fitting pretty good. I placed the floor in and bolted on doors and fenders. I'm getting ready to instal torque boxes than I can weld in the firewall and the floor. On another note the passenger side fender looks way off. But I'll have to deal with that when I get there.

part 2 of the cruise

we had a cruise last weekend. i was in my parents blue 67 fastback, my parents are in their 69 boss 302, and my brother is in his red 05 gt.

Has anyone installed a New firewall? I thinking about returning the firewall ext and replacing the whole firewall since I'm replacing the lower cowl parts. just looking for tips on what to do/how to replace it. Thanks

Ordered them today hoping to get them by the weekend. I'm almost done cutting out all the floors and the firewall ext (toe boards). But for good news I got a great lead on a complete numbers matching 390! Looking forward to finding out more about that.

Congrats! I can't wait to start even test fitting my floor I've been no stop cutting and finding more junk spots. But soon ill be to this point. I had to order my inner cowl panels tonight.

Made some more progress today. But also ran into a huge hurtle the vent panel on the drive side is almost completely rotted out. The did one heck of a job with bonds and black paint to make it look nice. Does anyone know if you can get new vent panels? (Panel by the A piler)?

I'm looking into that option. Due to the fact I have both RH and LH 1piece boxes in the garage. Been working on getting the rest of the floor out by the rear torque boxes that is also a job. My goal now is to get the car all back to one piece instead of paint.

Ok I got the floor almost all cut out, Both torque boxes are out, working on the floor board ext. (toe boards) someone fixed it and fixed it again so cutting through 3 floor pans is turning into a big pain in my butt. My next question is has anyone used the one piece torque boxes from CJPonys? Part #M117L/M117R I don't understand how these boxes go in.

Ok I got to ask why did you weld in the convertable inner rockers?

Are that how many original spot welds there are? Because I've been cutting my floor out and I'm to the front part and really hope I don't have to cut that many spot welds.

This is what I found in my car when I pulled out the torque box. I noticed the floors weren't even touching the frame rails lots of mud, seam sealer, and undercoating. So I ordered a one piece floor and started cutting. I tell you what that's a scary feeling when big chunks of floor start hitting the ground.

I ordered the Dynacorn floor also but I ordered the Weld-Thru Primer. I'm hopinh all goes well I never really did anything like this. I was working on my torque box and noticed the floor and other stuff just slapped together so I'm starting to really tear into this thing. Also I noticed back on page 23 after your welded in your torque box you welded a panel over it was that the Floor To Firewall Extension Driver Side 1965-1970?

I just ordered my full floor yesterday and its on its way. what brand did you use? also did you have to brace up your car any special way? or cut anything extra out to get the floor in?
