So I had a 351 w built with a stroker kit rpm intake 770 avenger carb and a 1000 over stock stall converter, it has around 410 horse power. I have to set the idle at 1100-1200 rpm in park to get it to stay running when its in gear. I think that is to high of an idle. Any thought on what I can do it just seems to run a little rough when at idle:confused::confused1::001_unsure:

Yep same think happened to me..but it didn't go all the way back to shape..I still have a dent on the bottom of tank:sad:

I read the 70 has a charcoal canester that it vents through but 69 doesn't:rockon:

I had to go look....I seen that, last summer I was driving the car and I heard the tank making noise..it was getting pressure built up inside..I had to take the cap off to let the air back in..Thats why I was wondering if the cap has to be vented.. but that indentation you mentioned was clogged I cleaned it out!! That should keep it from building pressure inside the tank now..Thanks!!

Thats the vent?? Under the gas cap? Not sure what you mean...

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the gas cap on my 69 mach 1 should be vented or not?? There is no vent on the tank that I can see...Help!!:excl::cool2:
