  1. I was thinking about something like this actuator http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Linear-Actuator-225lb-Adjustable-Stroke-12-Volt-DC-/130631704400?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e6a419f50&vxp=mtr With one end mounted down by the bottom window guide mount, the movable end could be mounted to a bar that would pivot to provide a 1 to 2 leverage ratio, and the other end of the pivoted bar could be connected to the pin on the window glass mount. I would just have to work out some way that the pivot could slide to prevent any binding as the window moved up and down. Also, You can get the linear actuators in longer lengths, but the travel would be slower.
  2. I'm planning on adding a power window motor to my stock regulators, and since it's a coupe I will be using 12 volt linear actuators to power the quarter windows. I will probably us a shorter actuator and then use a 2 to 1 ratio lever. That will double the speed of the actuator which is currently about 1/2 inch per second. Strength shouldn't be an issue since they can lift up to 150 Lbs. on their own.
  3. I've noticed that the 71 Mustangs use the more conventional power steering instead of the "power assist" steering. Has anyone tried to adapt the 71 power steering to a 69??? As similar as 64-73 Mustangs seem to be in many aspects, I thought someone may have tried it. Thanks, Mike
  4. Hi Everyone.... My dash pad is perfect except that it is broken out all around the perimeter of the speaker holes. Does anyone have a technique to repair that area or to completely remove the speaker holes and fill the area in with something else? I've thought that if I could adequately fill that area I could hide part of it with a 3 gauge pod or something and save the cost of a complete new dash pad. I really don't like the idea of the plastic dash covers that they sell... Thanks, Mike Wyese 1969 Mustang Coupe 302-c4 Soon to be 347 - 4r70w - 8.8 rear with 3.73 traction-lok and disc brakes
  5. I am currently looking to buy a 69 coupe project car. One I'm looking at needs 1 Fender, 1 door skin, 1 Door Shell, quarters, outer wheel houses, torque boxes and floorboards. The interior needs all new upholstery and dash pad. It's an original 302 - C4 car but it's missing the engine. However, everything else is there. All good glass and trim. What do you think this one would be worth? Thanks, Mike
  6. Grande's definitely came with NO power steering and NO power brakes. My first car was a 69 Grande' that I bought in April of '73. It had a 351w-2v and an FMX trans with a 9" rear with 3.00:1 Gear. I am currently looking to buy a 69 coupe project car. One I'm looking at needs door skins, quarters, outer wheel houses, torque boxes and floorboards. The interior needs all new upholstery and dash pad. It's an original 302 - C4 car but it's missing the engine and trans. However, everything else is there. All good glass and trim. What do you think this one would be worth? Thanks, Mike
